As President of CMAP or the Credit Management Association of the Philippines which celebrates its 86th Anniversary and host the 37th National Credit Congress this April 2018, I would like to encourage all to see to it that our credit standing is kept A-Ok.
Even if we falter before especially during the hard times, we owe it to ourselves and to our next generation to leave a legacy for a record of good housekeeping as far as finances are concerned.
As basic as “do not spend beyond your means and do not spend what is not yours”.
If in one way or the other we fell along the way, let’s get up and look up and do ways to change the perception that we are not creditworthy. Change that branding into something positive.
I saw many people deteriorate in business because of bad investments before who got up and are now captains of the industry. Many though opted to just lie low and do nothing up to now, they are either forgotten or worst being labeled as bad potatoes unworthy of loans and other credit accommodations.
Before you act, listen
Before you react, think
BEFORE YOU SPEND, EARN
Before you criticize, wait
Before you quit, try.
If God can move you from January to December, He will surely move you from shame to fame, insult to result, sorrow to glory, disgrace to His grace, labour to favour, mockery to victory and raise you from glory to His glory!
